Introducing Brian Hebert

Written by Brian Hebert, Director of Member Services

Hey everyone, my name is Brian Hebert and I am the new Director of Member Services here at NewTV. I am beyond excited to start this new chapter of my life and wanted to take a minute to tell you a little bit about myself.

IntroBrianMy love for film started when I was maybe 10 years old, running around my parent’s house filming everyone on my old camera that used mini-VHS tapes and thinking I was the funniest and coolest person alive. While that was fun, I started getting more serious when I was in high school. I grew up in Hingham, MA and went to Hingham High School, where I played the one sport I’ve loved since before I could walk, hockey. Helping create the yearly highlight films and recording a couple of the varsity games not only gave me the best seat in the rink for free, but it also cemented my passion for filming things that I love and editing them together in the best way possible.

After high school I went to Saint Michael’s College up in Winooski, Vermont. Saint Mike’s is a small school that sits right in the shadow of UVM and Burlington, VT. Being able to shoot videos around the beautiful mountains, woods and most importantly, Church Street was a blast. I highly suggest taking a weekend and going to check out Church Street in Burlington if you have never been there. Between the amazing scenery, restaurants, shops and music, it is hard to find another place like it.

Since graduating I have worked at a few different production companies. I started at Harbor Media (formerly HCAM – Hingham Community Access Media), as a Staff Producer where I was in charge of filming and editing several multi-camera town events as well as producing a monthly series called Getting to Know. This series was so much fun to shoot as it highlighted many different organizations and locales around my hometown.

My next position was at a different production house, VideoLink, which is actually located in Newton. Here I held several roles including Production Associate, Operations Technician and Production Manager. Whether I was operating local or remote studios to put guests on stations such as CNN, Fox, MSNBC or CNBC, troubleshooting issues and resolving them in a timely manner so no guest would miss live TV, or managing our clients’ internal video productions, there was never a dull moment.

As I mentioned before, I am beyond excited to be at NewTV. I have met and talked with a few of our members and hearing all of your stories and reasons for wanting to start a new show or improve something that you are currently working on excites me about all the possibilities that the future has to offer. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or just want to talk about the best sports team in Boston, the Boston Bruins!!
