NewTV is always changing and evolving to keep up with new technology. We want our members to learn to use the most up-to-date equipment and software. Whether our staff members have been here only a year or they are seasoned veterans, everyone has witnessed a lot of upgrades during their time here. They took the time to reflect on the biggest changes during their tenure.

 

The Problem With USB-C

I’ve talked about all the different types of USB connectors, I‘ve talked about phones, and I’ve talked about Apple being annoying. While Apple is still very annoying, I wanted to return to the topic of USB-C cables, because right now it’s a bit of a mess. USB-C is the not-so-new universal and reversible USB cable. NATOA 2018

Philadelphia, the city of brotherly love and birthplace of our country, was the backdrop for this year’s annual NATOA (National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors) conference. 

 

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of witnessing NewTV’s Skype capabilities in our control room for a show episode that was close to my heart. A year ago, I visited the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam with my sister. I have always been interested in the Holocaust, so I’ve been to many museums and read many books on the topic. I thought the Anne Frank house was extremely well presented and I was excited that Skype would allow Jay Sugarman to interview a guest from this amazing museum on his show, Museum Open House.
