On Thursday, I went to the John M. Barry Boys & Girls Club of Newton with Director of Marketing and Creative Services, Shelly Kamanitz, to deliver a donation of board games. NewTV initially purchased the games to be used as centerpieces at our Third Annual Teamwork Trivia Challenge event, and now the children at the Club will get to play with them.

Known as Independence Day, the Fourth of July is an annual holiday that celebrates America’s independence from Great Britain. Historically, July 4, 1776 was when The Continental Congress officially adopted The Declaration of Independence and thus a new nation was born, where all men are created equal and are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

 

Don't Buy Expensive Electronics from Amazon

Amazon sells a lot of stuff. Some of that stuff is expensive. Some of that expensive stuff includes electronics such as cameras, computers, and phones. I advise you not to buy these things from Amazon because Amazon isn’t the best when it comes to making sure your item is legit.

 

Friend of the Pod

I am a newcomer to the podcast world. I’d been hearing about podcasts for a long time, but wasn’t motivated enough to explore them, find a program, set it up and listen to it in my car. I also didn’t think I had a long enough commute to be able to listen to a full podcast, so why bother?
