Decision 2019

Looking for a candidate message or a debate? Start HERE

Newton has some important elections coming up this fall, and NewTV has produced a series of debates in partnership with the League of Women Voters to help keep Newton residents informed.

NewTV has also produced 40 candidate messages to allow you to get to know the people running for City Council and School Committee. Candidates should feel free to share their messages on their websites and on social media. NewTV will air the messages on the Government Channel every day for two-to-three weeks until the election, in order to distribute as much information as possible to Newton voters.

Be sure also to tune into our live election night coverage on November 5, starting at 7:30pm. Races for School Committee and City Council will all be covered. In order to reach as many viewers as possible, NewTV will be broadcasting its election night coverage on multiple platforms: airing on the Government Channel (Comcast 9 • RCN 13, 581 (HD) • Verizon 33) and live streaming on NewTV's website and on Facebook Live.

Newton News Director Jenn Adams will be hosting the live coverage on Nov. 5 with in-studio guests, interviews and field reports from candidates’ parties. Results will be delivered live from the studio. Follow along on social media with #NewTVDecision2019.
