Note: Applicants must reside in the US.

Newton News Internship

A Newton News internship provides the opportunity to have hands-on experience and create a professional demo reel. Interns shoot, write, edit and sometimes host an award-winning weekly newscast – a great way to get a foot in the door and be competitive in the broadcast industry.

Government Channel Internship

NewTV’s Government Channel gives interns the opportunity to learn all aspects of video production, including single and multi-camera field and studio production, editing, lighting, composition and more. They’ll cover local municipal meetings, events and studio programs, gaining invaluable knowledge of your local government through interaction with elected officials and city departments.

Education Channel Internship

The Ed Channel facilitates independent student projects, providing a creative platform for interns to showcase their skills. At the same time, they’ll learn all areas of media production as part of a team assisting students in the field and studio to capture school events, sports, and educational-themed programming.

Community Channel Internship

NewTV’s Community Channel is seeking high school and college level students as interns. Under the supervision of the director of member services, they will work directly with our members, so a friendly and professional attitude is imperative. Proficiency with Mac computers, video production and non-linear editing is also recommended as interns will be asked to assist our members during studio shoots, editing sessions and workshops. Availability on weekday afternoons and nights is required.

Marketing Internship

Students can intern with NewTV’s Marketing Department. They’ll gain valuable experience in social media, graphic design, and digital marketing. Potential projects include photographing our facilities, designing graphics, assisting with our newsletter, and helping to coordinate our social media efforts.

Another Age Productions Internship

Another Age interns will benefit from practical experiences on shoots, assisting with sound, lighting and camera operation. They’ll also have the opportunity to edit footage and see projects through from start to finish. This is a chance to work with a variety of clients — from small local businesses to national corporations.
