AUG 3 thru 8 - Collect stamps at the participating Minuteman Libraries on their featured days during the week of August 3rd. Newton Free Library will be giving out stamps on August 5th and 6th.

On Thursday evenings throughout the summer, join Ty Burr and West Newton Cinema for family-friendly outdoor movie screenings in Newton's villages. The next movie night is August 6th at the Charles River Campus of UMass.

AUG 12 at 7:00PM - Ed Pontes will hold an interactive talk about his exhibit at the Newton Free Library, and his innovative Delimited Drip Painting technique.

West Newton Armory will hold a lottery for 43 new affordable apartments. Completed applications must be postmarked by September 18, and a virtual lottery drawing will be held on October 6 at 1:00PM.

Spark Newton commissioned local artist Ruby Rose to create two paintings for the exterior of the Crystal Lake Bathhouse.

AUG 4 at 6:30PM - Join Pop Up Art School at the Newton Free Library to learn to use loose wool fibers to create a sunflower design. The workshop is perfect for beginners!

AUG 11 at 7:00PM - Join Harry Pesce from Newton Community Farm to learn all about which vegetables are harvested in summer, taste test some veggies, and get some healthy and simple recipes.
