Newton Free Library Event Conversation with Joan Leegant
April 9, 2025

On Tuesday, April 22 at 7pm, the Newton Free Library presents A Conversation with Newton Author Joan Leegant About Her Book "Displaced Persons." In a conversation moderated by fellow Newton author Bill Novak, Joan Leegant will talk about the pleasures and perils of writing short fiction and the creative process behind her latest collection, Displaced Persons—where the stories come from, writing without a plan, and why writing isn’t the same as thinking. Copies of Displaced Persons will be available for purchase and signing courtesy of Newtonville Books. Register for this program at https://newtonfreelibrary.libcal.com/event/13446167
