What is a Capital Campaign, anyway?

A Capital Campaign is a fundraiser designed specifically to raise money for an organization's capital equipment. That is, the equipment they need to operate on a day-to-day basis and to perform the essential functions needed to carry out their mission. At NewTV, our capital equipment is all of things we need to produce top notch content, and to allow our members to learn the ropes and produce their own high quality content.
IT'S MORE THAN JUST CAMERAS
Of course the cameras are an integral part of television production, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. There are monitors, lights, teleprompters, microphones, a control panel, and much more, all tied together by a complex system of wiring and electronics. As one of the top Community Media Centers in the country, NewTV has always been thinking about the future. And we want our future to be as bright as our studio lighting.
NewTV is looking to upgrade our capital equipment from HD to 4K, the new industry standard. This ensures that NewTV will be able to produce high quality content that is compatible with the latest technology for years to come.
