Community Media Day 2023

Today is Community Media Day!

Governor Maura Healey has issued a proclamation officially declaring today – Friday, October 20, 2023 – as Community Media Day in Massachusetts.

Community Media Day is an annual celebration that brings awareness to the importance of free speech and accessible media for all.

Community media play a powerful role in strengthening our local communities. It protects our freedom of speech, promotes transparency within our local governments, provides access to local news and information not covered by mainstream media outlets, and fosters community education and engagement.

For more than 30 years, NewTV has proudly provided Newton with a platform where everyone can have their voices heard and stay connected to their community.
