Innovation Showcase - Science Research Mentoring Program - Center for Astrophysics

Jay talks with Clara Sousa-Silva, PhD, Tansu Daylan, PhD, Kartik Pinglé, and Jasmine Wright—all of whom are associated with the Science Research Mentoring Program at the Center for Astrophysics at Harvard and the Smithsonian. Dr. Sousa-Silva is the director of the program, Dr. Daylan serves as a mentor in the program, and Kartik and Jasmine are local high school students who have participated in the program. In addition to finding out all about the Science Research Mentoring Program, we’ll be spending much of our time learning about the groundbreaking discoveries made by Kartik and Jasmine. Together with Dr. Daylan, they were part of a team that discovered four exoplanets, planets outside our solar system.
