Museum Open House - DEEDS NOT WORDS: Celebrating 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage

Jay talks with Pam Weeks from the New England Quilt Museum located in Lowell. Pam serves as the Binney Family Curator at the museum. She’s here today to inform us about the outstanding exhibition entitled DEEDS NOT WORDS: Celebrating 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage, which is on display until September 26. Pam curated the exhibition together with Sandra Sider, the Curator of the Texas Quilt Museum. During the program, we’ll find out why and how the exhibition came about, we’ll go on a behind-the-scenes tour, and, in the process, come to better understand and appreciate the extraordinary craftsmanship on display and some of the fascinating individuals and events associated with the women’s suffrage movement.
