Museum Open House - Seeing Torah: A Visual Midrash

Jay talks with  Anita Rabinoff-Goldman and Deborah Feinstein, both of whom are associated with Hebrew College. Anita is an artist and quilt makerand her exhibit entitled Seeing Torah: A Visual Midrash is currently on display at the Ted Cutler Atrium at Hebrew College. Through the creation of 11 inch square fabric collages, Seeing Torah highlights Anita’s study and response to each of the 54 portions of the Torah. Anita will be sharing why and how Seeing Torah: A Visual Midrash came about, we’ll go on a behind-the-scenes tour of this engaging display, and, in the process, come to better understand and appreciate Anita’s thoughtful and unique undertaking and how this might further our own understanding and interpretation of the Torah. Deborah is the Founding Chair and Member of Hebrew College’s Arts Committee and she’s also a member of the Board of Trustees. During the program, Deborah will be informing us about Hebrew College and its exciting arts and culture initiatives
