Jay talks with Marco Pinter, PhD. Marco is a highly accomplished computational artist and he also serves as the executive director of the Museum of Sensory & Movement Experiences located in Santa Barbara, California. During the program, we’ll be learning why and how the museum came about and how it operates today. We’ll go on a behind-the-scenes tour and, in the process, we’ll come to better understand the museum’s overall mission and the wide-range of installations and interactive experiences it has to offer the general public.

Jay talks with photographers and activists Marky Kauffmann and Ellen Feldman, PhD.They’re here today to inform us about their very engaging and thought-provoking exhibition entitled Moved To Act! Demonstrations, Marches, Political Actions. This display documents and showcases a wide range of signs related to a number of recent protests and rallies promoting and championing social justice. From January 11 – February 12, it will be at the Cambridge Multicultural Center. During the program, we’ll be learning why and how Moved To Act! came about, we’ll go on a behind-the-scenes tour, and, in the process, come to better understand and appreciate some of the demonstrations and movements that have taken place throughout the United States in recent years and the importance and role of activism in our country as a means of achieving social justice.

Jay talks with Bill Helman and Andrew Hager both of whom are associated with the Presidential Pet Museum. Bill is the director of the museum and Andrew serves as the historian-in-residence. During the program, we’ll be learning why and how this unique and engaging museum came about, we’ll go on a behind-the-scenes tour, and, in the process, come to better understand and appreciate the wide-range of Presidential Pets over the years and some of the fascinating and amusing stories related to them and their Presidential owners.

Jay talks with Beth McLaughlin, Lisa Oram, and Lois Russell—all of whom are associated with the outstanding exhibition entitled Makers and Mentors: The Art and Life of Snow Farm—The New England Craft School. This display is on view at the Fuller Craft Museum until July 4, 2021. Beth serves as the Artistic Director and Chief Curator at the Fuller Craft Museum, Lisa is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Snow Farm, and Lois is a highly accomplished fiber artist and one of the participants in the exhibition.During the program, we’ll be finding out why and how the exhibition came about, we’ll go on a behind-the-scenes tour and, the process, come to better understand and appreciate the history, mission, and ongoing importance of Snow Farm as a craft school and the wide-range of outstanding artists and instructors whose captivating work is being featured at the Fuller Craft Museum.
